Paint Shop: Ultramarine Reivers
These guys took a while because I got a little overloaded with work in progress. They’re not my primary 40K faction – I have them basically as a spare Kill Team for friends.

Paint Shop: 40K Spiritseer and Heavy Weapons Platform and Blood Rage Nídhöggr
Lots of painting projects going on, but these three are finished. Iyanden Aeldari Spiritseer and Heavy Weapons Platform (magnetized, and the Guardians are on the way next), and Nídhöggr from Blood Rage, the serpent who gnaws at the roots of the World Tree.

Paint Shop: Blood Rage Mountain Giantess and 40K Wave Serpent
The CMON Blood Rage painting continues with monsters, specifically the Mountain Giantess. My new project is a Games Workshop Warhammer 40K army, specifically an Iyanden Craftworlds force. Here’s the first model, a Wave Serpent. The piping was murder, but I’m pretty happy with it overall, especially the object lighting on the pilot.

Paint Shop: Blood Rage Stag Clan
The Stag Clan is here! These were tricky, as the sort of butter yellow color of the faction doesn’t lend itself to a lot of clothing options, but I rolled it in where I could. Eyes are an ongoing struggle, but they look better at tabletop distance at least.

Paint Shop: Blood Rage Wolf Clan
The Wolf Clan for CMON‘s Blood Rage was a bit of a challenge – how to incorporate the player color (red) into an animal decidedly devoid of it? I decided to take advantage of the wrap-like garments, helmet plumes, and shields to bring in the red color while using more natural colors for the rest…

Paint Shop: Blood Rage Raven Clan
The Raven Clan is ready for Ragnarok! This clan has blue tokens, which seemed inconsistent with ravens (black), so I went with a combination color scheme, with the black feathered cloaks enhanced with some interference green.

Paint Shop: Blood Rage Serpent Clan
I finally got the basing sand for the Serpent Clan from CMON’s Blood Rage. I chose the yellow color scheme to match the clan token, but wanted the green for the shield for the snake theme.

Paint Shop: Blood Rage Bear Clan
I’ve been getting back into regular painting, and caught up with the partially-finished Blood Rage Bear Clan from my previous work in process. I wanted to theme four of the clans for the seasons, so the Bear are the Winter clan.

Battle of the Box Inserts: Broken Token vs. Go 7 Gaming vs. Folded Space
Partly in an effort to speed up setups and partly to save space on my game shelves, I’ve been slowly picking up inserts for my board game collection. The basic idea behind an insert is that it neatly packages all of the game components and, ideally, presents them in a ready-to-play fashion. This can range…

Chase Decks and Sales!
It’s a busy week on DriveThruRPG for Happy Monster Press! First off, we’ve published two new products – Chase Decks for Rural and (pre-modern) Urban environments. One of the big changes in the new Savage Worlds Adventure Edition is a complete new set of Chase rules. In the new rules, players maneuver on a row or array…
