Paint Shop: Harlequin Kill Team
This was a huge painting challenge for me! I feel pretty good about my first serious attempt at Harlequin chequy. Not perfect by any means, but looks pretty good at the table.

Paint Shop: Drukhari Kill Team
These guys were an interesting challenge. I used a dark green and then washed with black to get the armor looking the way I wanted, and did a lot of work on the faces, with varying levels of success. I’m particularly happy with the bald warrior.

Paint Shop: Space Marines and Mechanicus Terrain
I finally got these varnished and ready for prime time! The Adeptes Astartes will likely be a loaner Kill Team, and I expect the terrain to see a lot of use. I’m pretty happy with how these came out – I’m progressing in my skill on finer details.

Paint Shop: Avengers and Rangers
The latest out of the paint shop are a squad apiece of Iyanden Aeldari rangers and Dire Avengers. I’m particularly pleased with the more muted yellow and blue scheme on the rangers.

Paint Shop: Aeronautica Imperialis Space Marines
Continuing my open defiance of the box art, I painted these Xiphon Interceptors and Storm Eagle Assault Craft in Ultramarines colors. Coming soon, Happy Monster Joy’s take on Ork Air Waaaaagh units!

I’m very happy with how these came out and looking forward to using them in my first in-person Kill Team game!

Paint Shop: Ultramarine Reivers
These guys took a while because I got a little overloaded with work in progress. They’re not my primary 40K faction – I have them basically as a spare Kill Team for friends.

After an initial round of fighting degenerated into a scrum on one flank of the battlefield, the two Kill Teams continued their fight for the hidden cache of supplies. The Asuryani Kill Team Dagger of Ynnead had now identified the enemy – the notorious T’au Kill Team Mont’ka Gambit. The Gambit moved quickly, keeping initiative…

BattleReport – Kill Team Asuryani vs. T’au (Part 1)
Last night, a skirmish began between the Asuryani Kill Team known as the Dagger of Ynnead and an unidentified T’au Kill Team. The Dagger were trying to capture a cache of supplies in an ancient Mechanicus ruin. Unfortunately, the T’au arrived first, but the Aeldari managed to approach unseen and engage. The Dagger’s Dire Avenger…
